NEW GOWN RULES!
Madelines Momma:
Cheryl - the manual states that, for princess through Jr. Teen, straight skirts or tight fitting gowns are discouraged.
Coed is still a conservative pageant and as such doesn't want girls that young to appear sexy or inappropriate for their age division. Keep in mind that different girls with different builds with different maturity levels will each look different in these types of gowns. It's very much about the individual and how she carries it off.
AlexiaMarie - your gown can have 2 colors. Up until a couple years ago, the rules suggested that the gown should be one color and could have a trim of a different color. Now, that restriction is gone. :-)
Hope this helps! 8)

Halleluja to the rule change! I am posting this on my website! Yay!
Kaitlyn Lee:
Never want to trump what Miss Teri says but your Jr. Teen National Queens for the past two years have worn what I would describe as Sweet Mermaids, Not sexy ones, but sweet with ruffles and lace and nothing revealing on the neck line.
Just FYI
mrsamerica01:
Now the gowns still have to be floor-lenth correct? Because I am wondering if they allow just your feet to show.
Melissa
Kaitlyn Lee:
All gowns should still be floor length and no more than 1/2 inch off ground....your feet should not show but your gown should not be so long that you have to hold it on stage.....:)
